APC Governors Pledge Support to Tinubu’s Security Measures

Governors from the All Progressives Congress (APC) have expressed full backing for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his ongoing security initiatives, pledging complementary measures at the state level to strengthen national safety.
In a communiqué released after their recent meeting, the APC governors reaffirmed that “the safety of lives and property remains a non‑negotiable obligation of government.” They praised improved coordination between federal, state, and local security agencies under the president’s security reform agenda.
The governors also committed to:
Strengthening local security structures and community-based initiatives
Enhancing intelligence gathering and conflict prevention
Supporting victims of violence and other security-related emergencies
According to the communiqué, the backing from APC governors is aimed at ensuring more effective implementation of the president’s security policies and fostering collaboration between all tiers of government.
