Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has officially flagged off the distribution of ₦350 million in interest-free loans to beneficiaries under the ACReSAL programme in Kwara State.

The initiative aims to support small businesses, farmers, and entrepreneurs across the state, providing financial assistance to empower youth, women, and other residents while stimulating local economic growth.

Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, Governor AbdulRazaq emphasized the importance of responsible utilization of the loans. He encouraged beneficiaries to manage the funds effectively, noting that repayment will allow the programme to continue supporting more residents in the future.

The loans are part of a Community Revolving Fund backed by the World Bank, designed to promote sustainable economic development and reduce poverty within communities.

Authorities reported that about 1,000 residents have benefited from the initial disbursement, with plans for ongoing distribution to reach more eligible citizens across the state.

Governor AbdulRazaq reiterated the government’s commitment to creating opportunities for residents and ensuring that development programmes reach grassroots communities.
