U.S. Embassy Introduces New Visa Services Provider in Nigeria

The U.S. Embassy in Abuja and the U.S. Consulate General in Lagos have officially transitioned to a new visa services provider, as announced on the Embassy’s website for non-immigrant visa interviews scheduled on or before August 16, 2024, no action is needed. Applicants can still access their accounts at ustraveldocs.com to view appointment details and contact customer service if required.

For interviews set for August 26, 2024, and beyond, applicants must use the newly launched visa services website. This new platform will handle fee payments, appointment scheduling, and customer support.

The U.S. Embassy communicated the update via their verified ‘X’ account @USinNigeria, stating: “Important Visa Services Update! We have moved to a new visa services provider! You can now schedule interview appointments on the new website.”

The official site, www.usvisaappt.com, offers enhanced features for account creation, fee payment, and appointment scheduling. The site also provides information services for visa applicants and American citizens. For quick responses, users can try the online chat application and refer to the Contact Us page for operational hours.

For official visa information, visit the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Consular Affairs website and the Consular Post at: https://ng.usembassy.gov/.
