Tinubu Reconstitutes Management Teams for River Basin Authorities

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the reconstitution of executive management teams for 12 River Basin Development Authorities under the Federal Ministry of Water Resources.
This development is part of the administration’s efforts to improve water resource management and agricultural productivity nationwide.
At the Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority in Abeokuta, Mr. Odebunmi Olusegun from Oyo State has been named Chairman, while Dr. Adedeji Ashiru from Osun State assumes the role of Managing Director. The Executive Directors appointed include Mr. Ayo Oyalowo (Finance), Mr. Dokunmu Oyekunle (Planning and Design), Mr. Suleiman Oris (Agricultural Services), and Mr. Julius Oloro (Engineering).In the Upper Benue River Basin, Alhaji Sanusi Babantanko from Bauchi State is the new Chairman, with Mr. Samuel Mohammed from Taraba State as Managing Director. Executive Directors include Mr. Usman Bakare (Engineering), Mr. Ibrahim Jalo (Finance), Mr. Isa Matori (Planning and Design), and Mr. Hamman Dikko (Agricultural Services).
At the Chad Basin Development Authority, Prof. Abdu Dauda from Borno State has been appointed Chairman, while Mr. Tijjani Tumsa from Yobe State takes on the role of Managing Director. Executive Directors are Mr. Bashir Baale (Finance), Mr. Iliyasu Muazu (Agricultural Services), Mr. Mohammed Shetima (Engineering), and Mr. Vrati Nzonzo (Planning and Design).
For the Benin-Owena River Basin Development Authority, Mr. Mike Ezomo from Edo State assumes the position of Chairman, with Mr. Femi Adekanbi from Ondo State as Managing Director. The Executive Directors are Dr. Austin Izagbo (Planning and Design), Mr. Johnson Oghuma (Agricultural Services), Mr. Adegboyega Bamisile (Finance), and Mr. Bayode Akinduro (Engineering).
President Tinubu charged the appointees to bring to bear on their new jobs the wealth of experience they have acquired over the years to make life more abundant for Nigerians in line with the agenda of his administration.
