Silekunola Moronke Naomi, the former wife of the Ooni of Ife, has been detained at the Agodi Correctional Centre in Oyo State. This follows her involvement in organizing an event that led to the tragic Oyo stampede.

Naomi appeared before an Oyo State Magistrate Court alongside Oriyomi Hamzat, the CEO of Agidigbo FM, and a school principal.The arraignment stems from a failed food relief program held on December 18 in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

The mishandled event resulted in the deaths of 35 children.
