BREAKING: Former Presidential Aide Dr. Doyin Okupe Passes Away at 72

Dr. Doyin Okupe, a renowned Nigerian physician, politician, and former presidential aide, has died at the age of 72.
According to sources close to the family, Okupe had been critically ill for weeks before his passing. Reports confirm that he had been battling cancer, a condition he fought for years.
In October 2023, Okupe was hospitalized due to prostate cancer and was flown to Israel for treatment. However, his health did not improve as hoped. His battle with the illness dates back 16 years when he was first diagnosed. In addition to prostate cancer, he later developed sarcoma in his right shoulder.
Dr. Okupe was a key figure in Nigerian politics, serving in various capacities, including as a senior aide to former presidents. His passing marks the end of a significant era in the country’s political landscape.
