Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State has described the recent mass killings in Bokkos and Bassa LGAs as “genocidal” and “sponsored.” Speaking on Channels TV’s Politics Today, the governor said over 50 people, including children, were murdered on March 28 by suspected terrorists.

Mutfwang alleged that the attacks weren’t random but were organized acts of terror aimed at destroying communities. He called on security agencies to urgently uncover those behind the violence, insisting: “This is being sponsored from somewhere.”

The governor expressed hope that intelligence efforts would soon expose the masterminds, enabling peace to return to the embattled region.
