Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has broken her silence over her embattled marriage to billionaire businessman and senator Prince Ned Nwoko, revealing disturbing details about her experience in the relationship.

In a series of social-media posts on Sunday, the actress alleged that her husband subjected her to manipulation, emotional control, and isolation during their years together. Daniels claimed the relationship, which began when she was a teenager, lacked any formal court or legal documentation.

“We were never married in any court of law, and no documents were signed. I was only a child when it all began,” she wrote.

Daniels also alleged that Nwoko kept compromising materials against her, including a private video, and accused him of attempting to tarnish her reputation with claims of drug abuse.

“He kept my sex tape to control me and told the world I’m an addict,” she said in another post. “Everything I did was under pressure and fear.”

The actress further accused Nwoko of restricting her contact with family members, forcing her into medical treatments without consent, and using his influence to silence critics.

In a swift reaction, Nwoko dismissed the allegations as “false and malicious,” claiming they were part of a coordinated attempt to blackmail him. He alleged that Daniels has struggled with substance abuse and that her family was aware of her condition.

“Regina needs professional help. Those behind these lies are exploiting her vulnerability to destroy me,” Nwoko said in a statement shared through his media office.

The senator maintained that his marriage to Regina was legitimate under traditional and Islamic rites, adding that he had never harmed or threatened her.

The revelations have dominated social-media discussions, with many Nigerians expressing shock and concern for the actress. Some fans have called for an official investigation, while others have urged the couple to settle their differences privately.

Industry colleagues and advocacy groups have also weighed in, describing the situation as a wake-up call about the abuse of power and the vulnerability of young women in celebrity marriages.

Regina Daniels and Ned Nwoko made headlines in 2019 when news of their relationship surfaced, drawing both admiration and criticism due to their wide age gap. The couple share two children.

This latest dispute follows months of speculation about marital troubles, as the actress quietly removed her husband’s name and photos from her social-media profiles earlier this year.
