Senate Leader and Senator representing Ekiti Central, Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, has called on members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State to unite and work together ahead of the party’s forthcoming governorship primary election.

Speaking at a stakeholders’ meeting held in Iyin-Ekiti, Senator Bamidele emphasized the need for peace, tolerance, and collective effort among party faithful to ensure the APC remains strong and focused. He urged members to put aside internal differences and prioritize the overall interest of the party.

Bamidele commended Governor Biodun Oyebanji for his humility, accessibility, and effective leadership since assuming office, describing him as a leader who has continued to promote inclusive governance and developmental progress across Ekiti State.

“This is not the time for division but for unity and shared vision,” Bamidele stated. “We must consolidate our gains under Governor Oyebanji’s administration and continue to support his people-focused leadership.”

The meeting, attended by key party figures and grassroots leaders, also had in attendance former Governor Dr. Kayode Fayemi, who echoed similar sentiments and urged members to remain steadfast in advancing the ideals of the APC.

As the party prepares for its governorship primary scheduled for October 27, 2025, the call for unity by major stakeholders is seen as a crucial step toward ensuring a peaceful and transparent process within the Ekiti APC.
