The All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed Ayoola Olajolo as the party’s new Director of Administration at its national secretariat in Abuja.
The appointment was confirmed on Friday, September 5, 2025, by APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.
Olajolo, a seasoned legal practitioner and public administrator from Ile-Ife, Osun State, was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2016. He previously served as Secretary and Chairman of Ife Central Local Government between 1999 and 2003. He later joined the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), where he rose to the position of Assistant Chief Legal Officer.
As Director of Administration, Olajolo will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the APC national secretariat, supervising staff, and ensuring the smooth implementation of party programmes and activities.
His appointment comes following the death of the former Director of Administration, Rauf Adeniji, who was abducted earlier this year and later confirmed dead—a development that left a significant gap in the party’s secretariat leadership.
Party stakeholders have welcomed Olajolo’s appointment, expressing confidence that his wealth of experience in law and governance will strengthen the APC’s administrative structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.
