Soludo’s Wife to Ekwunife: Leave Me Out of Politics, Defend Your Alleged Fake PhD
By Erewunmi Peace
The First Lady of Anambra State, Mrs. Nonye Soludo, has cautioned Senator Uche Ekwunife to keep her name out of political battles and instead focus on clarifying allegations surrounding her academic qualifications.
In a statement issued by her media aide, Daniel Ezeigwe, Mrs. Soludo denied ever serving in the administration of former Governor Chinwoke Mbadinuju, as recently claimed by Senator Ekwunife.
Mrs. Soludo accused the senator of engaging in “inciting hate and name-calling” rather than addressing questions over the authenticity of her PhD.
“The Senator should rather provide verifiable evidence of her credentials instead of dragging my name into political issues,” the First Lady said.
The development is the latest twist in the ongoing political rivalry between Senator Ekwunife and Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration.
Meanwhile, Senator Ekwunife has insisted that her qualifications are genuine and has challenged those questioning them to take the matter to court.
