Former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has been hospitalized in London following a sudden illness during what was initially described as a routine medical check-up.

According to sources close to the family, Buhari, 82, was admitted to a London hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after complications arose during his annual health assessment.
