Lagos Skit Maker Brutally Murdered by Suspected Cultists in Lakowe

Panic has gripped the Lakowe community in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State, after a popular skit maker and hairstylist identified as Austin was gruesomely murdered by suspected cultists in the early hours of Thursday, August 14.
According to eyewitness accounts, the attackers stormed Austin’s residence around dawn, dragged him out, and hacked him to death with machetes. Reports indicate that one of his hands was severed during the assault, leaving residents in shock and fear.
Prior to his death, Austin reportedly posted a cryptic farewell message on his WhatsApp status, fueling speculation that he might have anticipated the attack.
Community in Shock
Residents of Lakowe described the incident as horrifying, revealing that they woke up to loud commotion and later discovered Austin’s mutilated body. The killing has heightened concerns over rising cult-related violence in Lagos, especially in Ibeju-Lekki and its surrounding communities.
Police Investigation Underway
As of press time, the Lagos State Police Command has yet to issue an official statement on the murder. However, security operatives have reportedly intensified surveillance in the area to prevent reprisal attacks and restore calm.
