President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of four new officials into strategic positions within the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).
The announcement was made on Wednesday and takes immediate effect, according to a statement from the Presidency.
The appointments are as follows:
- Rotimi Richard Pedro – Director-General, NTA
- Karimah Bello – Executive Director, Marketing
- Stella Din – Executive Director, News
- Sophia Issa Mohammed – Managing Director, NTA Enterprises Limited
The appointees represent different geo-political zones in Nigeria, signaling the government’s commitment to national integration and inclusiveness.
According to the Presidency, the move is aimed at strengthening the NTA’s mandate of promoting unity, national cohesion, and soft diplomacy through effective media broadcasting.
“President Tinubu expects the new appointees to bring their wealth of experience to bear in repositioning the NTA as a world-class broadcasting organization,” the statement read.
