The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has approved the appointment of Mrs. Nancy Sabanti Nathan (mni) as the Acting Head of Service of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).
Nathan’s appointment comes in the wake of the death of Grace Adayilo, the former Head of Service, who passed away recently. According to a statement released on Monday in Abuja, Wike described the appointment as necessary to ensure continuity in the administration’s operations.
Mrs. Nathan, a seasoned administrator with decades of experience in the public service, is expected to oversee the affairs of the FCTA civil service until a substantive Head of Service is appointed.
Grace Adayilo’s tenure as Head of Service was marked by several reforms aimed at improving efficiency in the FCTA. Her sudden death created a leadership vacuum which Wike has now filled with an interim appointment.
The new Acting Head of Service is expected to bring stability to the administration and continue the reforms initiated by her predecessor while ensuring smooth governance in the Federal Capital Territory.
