2027: Gang-Up Against Tinubu Will Amount to Nothing – APC’s Dotun Babayemi

By Erewunmi Peace

A frontline aspirant in the upcoming Osun State governorship election, Dotun Babayemi, has dismissed any opposition plans to prevent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, describing them as “futile and baseless.”

Babayemi, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), made this declaration during his ward-to-ward consultation in Ayedire Local Government Area of Osun State on Sunday, July 27, 2025.

“Tinubu’s re-election in 2027 is a done deal. Any gang-up against him will amount to nothing,” Babayemi confidently stated, adding that the president’s ongoing reforms under the Renewed Hope Agenda are already producing visible results.

He emphasized that the president’s second term would help stabilize both the economy and national security, calling on Nigerians—especially APC members—to prioritize his return to office.

“The president is breaking grounds with positive impacts. The results will tangibly manifest in the course of his second term,” he said.

Babayemi also urged party supporters across the state to mobilize grassroots voters and participate actively in the upcoming INEC voter registration exercise, which he said is critical for ensuring the APC’s victory in both the 2026 Osun governorship election and the 2027 general elections.

“The re-election of Tinubu is essential to putting the country on a firm footing,” he said.

The APC had earlier, in May 2025, officially endorsed President Tinubu as its sole presidential candidate for the 2027 polls—a move widely seen as a strategic effort to consolidate internal party unity ahead of the elections.
