Delta Police Arrest Four Suspected Kidnappers, Recover AK-47, Vehicles, and Network Jammer

The Delta State Police Command has arrested four suspected kidnappers and recovered dangerous weapons, vehicles, and a network jammer used in criminal operations.
According to the Command’s Public Relations Officer, the arrests were carried out between September 8 and September 12, 2025, following intelligence-led operations in Ogwashi-Uku and surrounding areas.
Among the items recovered were:
An AK-47 rifle with ammunition,
A network jammer circuit device,
Two vehicles, including a Toyota Venza and a Toyota Matrix, believed to have been used in the kidnappings.
Police reports further revealed that a victim abducted from his residence in Ogwashi-Uku was rescued. He had earlier paid ₦2 million ransom to the gang and sustained a gunshot wound to his leg before being freed.
The suspects are currently in custody as investigations continue, with the police vowing to intensify efforts to rid Delta State of criminal networks.
The Command urged residents to remain vigilant and provide timely information to security agencies to aid ongoing operations against kidnapping and armed robbery syndicates in the state.
