Aregbesola Laments Hardship, Urges Nigerians to Reject APC

By Erewunmi Peace

Former Minister of Interior and ex-Governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola, has criticized the current administration over rising economic hardship and insecurity in Nigeria. He made the remarks during the unveiling of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) state secretariat in Ilorin, Kwara State.

Aregbesola described the current governance as “selfish and insensitive,” attributing the country’s worsening conditions to poor leadership and misplaced priorities. He also accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of silencing opposition voices through intimidation, suggesting the ruling party lacks confidence in its popularity.

Calling on Nigerians to reject the APC in the 2027 general elections, Aregbesola positioned the ADC as a viable alternative committed to addressing the nation’s challenges and serving the people’s interests.
