The Committee for Relevant Art (CORA) will host award-winning Kenyan author Yvonne Adhiambo Owuor in Lagos on Friday, September 26, 2025, as part of its BOOKTrek literary series.
The event, titled “A Conversation with Yvonne Adhiambo Owuor,” will take place at 3:00 p.m. at the CORA Library & Resource Centre, Freedom Park, Lagos Island. It is open to the public, with free admission and virtual participation options available.
Owuor, celebrated for her novels Dust and The Dragonfly Sea, will engage with readers, writers, and literary enthusiasts on the power of storytelling and its role in shaping African narratives.
The programme is being organised in partnership with AIESEC Alumni Nigeria and continues CORA’s commitment to fostering conversations between African writers and the reading public.
As part of her Lagos visit, Owuor will also deliver the 2025 Omolayole Lecture on Thursday, September 25, ahead of the CORA engagement.
CORA’s BOOKTrek project, launched in 2020, has become a major platform for connecting authors and readers across Africa, with Owuor’s appearance expected to be a highlight of this year’s calendar.
