FG Releases 2025 Common Entrance Results, 13 Pupils Score Highest Marks

The Federal Government has released the results of the 2025 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) for admission into the 80 Federal Unity Colleges and the Federal Government Academy (FGA), Suleja.
The announcement was made on Tuesday, July 23, by the Minister of State for Education, Prof. Suwaiba Ahmad, at a press briefing in Abuja. She was joined by the Registrar of the National Examinations Council (NECO), Prof. Ibrahim Dantani Wushishi.
According to the official data:
A total of 64,578 pupils registered for the exam.
61,290 candidates sat for the test, while 3,288 were absent.
The highest score recorded was 202 out of 210, achieved by 13 pupils.
The lowest score was 1, recorded by 27 candidates.
A total of 52 candidates were caught for examination malpractice, with 50 from Rivers State and 2 from Lagos.
Prof. Ahmad emphasized that admissions will be processed based on the government’s established criteria:
“Admission into Unity Colleges will follow the national policy guideline of 60% merit, 30% based on state representation, and 10% exigency.”
For the Federal Government Academy Suleja, a specialized school for gifted children:
3,421 candidates registered,
3,141 sat for the test, and
280 were absent.
The highest score was 194, and the lowest was 1.
The Minister expressed satisfaction with the performance, noting that the results show encouraging trends in student performance and interest in Unity Colleges.
Candidates and parents can check results through the NECO portal or their respective state education boards.

- Visit the NECO results portal: https://result.neco.gov.ng
- Select National Common Entrance Examination.
- Input your registration number and year (2025).
- Click “Check Result”.

The Federal Ministry of Education is expected to begin placement into the Unity Schools immediately, with admission letters expected to be distributed by early August.
