NSA, APC Stakeholders Distribute Relief Materials to Over 700 Flood Victims in Yola South

By Erewunmi Peace

In the wake of devastating floods that hit parts of Yola South Local Government Area, the National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, in collaboration with key All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders, has led the distribution of relief materials to over 700 affected households.

The humanitarian intervention, spearheaded by APC North-East Vice Chairman, Comrade Mustapha Salihu, provided urgent support to families across seven of the most severely affected communities in the area.

Each beneficiary received a bag of rice, cartons of Indomie noodles and spaghetti, cooking oil, and a ₦10,000 cash token. The relief effort also included plans for follow-up distributions featuring clothing, medicines, mosquito nets, mattresses, and other essentials to aid recovery.

APC stakeholders including Mustapha Atiku Ribadu and Umar Marafa also contributed to the initiative, each donating ₦1 million to support the victims.

Organizers emphasized that the initiative was purely humanitarian and nonpartisan, with beneficiaries selected through a transparent screening process to ensure the aid reached only verified victims of the flooding.

“This support is not political—it is a show of solidarity and care for our people in their time of need,” said Comrade Mustapha Salihu during the distribution event.

Community leaders and residents expressed gratitude for the timely intervention, describing it as a lifeline following the displacement and property losses caused by the floods.

The NSA’s involvement underscores the growing national concern over flood-related disasters in Nigeria and the urgent need for sustained relief and prevention efforts.
