The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, has charged newly commissioned cadets of the agency to uphold integrity, discipline, and professionalism as they begin their service.
Speaking at the passing-out parade of 404 cadets held at the Nigeria Police Mobile Force Training College, Ende Hills, Akwanga, Nasarawa State, Olukoyede stressed that the Commission has “zero tolerance for corruption” and will not hesitate to sanction any officer found wanting.
“In the course of carrying out your lawful duties, you must not allow any difficulty to compromise the core values of the Commission. The EFCC has zero tolerance for corruption, and the sanctions for corrupt practices are stiff,” Olukoyede said.
The EFCC boss reminded the fresh officers that integrity remains the agency’s strongest weapon in the fight against economic and financial crimes. He urged them to resist temptations, remain patriotic, and carry out their assignments with courage and impartiality.
The cadets, made up of Detective Superintendents and Detective Inspectors, underwent rigorous training in law enforcement, intelligence gathering, and anti-corruption strategies before their commissioning.
Olukoyede further emphasized that the fight against corruption is central to Nigeria’s stability and progress, adding that the new officers must serve as role models for society.
The event was attended by senior EFCC officials, security chiefs, and family members of the graduating cadets.
