Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has been widely celebrated as he marks his 60th birthday, with tributes pouring in from political leaders, business stakeholders, and everyday Lagosians who commend his leadership style and developmental achievements.

Born on June 25, 1965, Governor Sanwo-Olu reaches this milestone with a legacy many describe as transformational. Since assuming office in 2019, he has spearheaded several impactful projects across sectors, including infrastructure, health, education, and technology, aligning with his administration’s THEMES agenda (Traffic Management & Transportation, Health & Environment, Education & Technology, Making Lagos a 21st Century Economy, Entertainment & Tourism, and Security & Governance).

In a statement marking the occasion, President Bola Tinubu described the governor as “a calm and effective leader whose tenure has elevated the state’s profile and improved the lives of residents.” First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu also praised Sanwo-Olu for his humility, people-centered governance, and commitment to progressive ideals.

At the state level, the Lagos State House of Assembly and key cabinet members hosted a special celebration in his honour, highlighting landmark achievements such as the Blue Line Rail, the state-wide road rehabilitation drive, and the renewed focus on youth empowerment and digital innovation.
