South-East Group Pledges ₦200 Million for Tinubu’s 2027 Presidential Bid

A political support group based in the South-East, the South East Renewed Hope Agenda (SERHA), has pledged ₦200 million to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election campaign for the 2027 general elections under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The announcement was made during a gathering in Owerri, the capital of Imo State, where the group’s National Coordinator, Belusochukwu Enwere, presented a cheque to fund the purchase of the APC presidential nomination form and campaign logistics.

“We, the people of the South-East, are grateful for the President’s support for developmental projects in our region, especially the Eastern Rail Line and the South-East Development Commission,” Enwere said during the event.

He further revealed that the group would commence a grassroots mobilization campaign across all 95 Local Government Areas and 2,344 political wards in the South-East starting from August 2025. According to SERHA, this effort is aimed at building broad-based support for President Tinubu’s 2027 ambition, especially among the youth and women.

The initiative is reportedly in recognition of the president’s “inclusive leadership style and commitment to the progress of the South-East.”

This development marks one of the earliest organized campaign support moves ahead of the 2027 elections, signaling increased political activity even as Nigeria remains two years away from the polls.
