Why North Will Vote Tinubu in 2027 – Governor Bago

By Erewunmi search

Mohammed Umaru Bago, has declared that the North will rally behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in 2027, citing fairness, performance, and political stability as key reasons.

Speaking during an interview on Television Continental (TVC), Governor Bago insisted that Tinubu has delivered on his campaign promises and deserves another mandate.

 “As far as we are

concerned, it is Asiwaju for 2027; there is no going back,” Bago said. “The President has lived up to expectations, and we in Niger have already made our state the headquarters of his re-election campaign.”

The governor stressed the importance of rotational presidency, noting that after power shifted from the North to the South in 2023, it is only fair to allow the South to complete its two terms before returning power to the North in 2031.

He added that the North has benefitted from Tinubu’s policies and will mobilize strongly to secure his victory.

Governor Bago also announced himself as the self-appointed “Director-General” of Tinubu’s 2027 campaign, underscoring his loyalty to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

While some northern leaders have expressed reservations about Tinubu’s leadership, Bago maintained that regional support for the President is solidifying ahead of the next general elections.
