By Erewunmi Peace
The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced uniform sale prices for housing units under its Renewed Hope Estate Programme, marking a significant step toward affordable and transparent housing across the country.
Under the new pricing scheme, the approved costs are:
One-bedroom semi-detached bungalow: ₦8.5 million
Two-bedroom semi-detached bungalow: ₦11.5 million
Three-bedroom semi-detached bungalow: ₦12.5 million
The initiative is aimed at providing equitable access to housing for Nigerians, particularly low- and middle-income earners, civil servants, private sector employees with verifiable income, and Nigerians in the Diaspora who wish to own homes.
The programme also offers flexible payment options, including outright purchase, mortgage, rent-to-own schemes, and installment plans, ensuring that homeownership is accessible to a wider population. The sale of completed units across both northern and southern regions is set to commence soon.
Interested applicants can apply via the Renewed Hope Housing online portal at www.renewedhopehomes.fmhud.gov.ng, or obtain forms from the ministry’s headquarters and field offices nationwide.
It is important to note that these prices apply specifically to Renewed Hope Housing Estates funded through the ministry’s budgetary allocation, and do not cover Renewed Hope Cities financed through Public-Private Partnerships.
