Authorities in Ogun State have arrested 45 illegal immigrants from countries including Benin Republic, Chad, and Sudan in the Sabo community following complaints from residents.

The arrests were conducted after locals raised concerns about unfamiliar individuals in their neighborhood. Law enforcement officials, working alongside community committees, apprehended the group to ensure security and prevent social vices.

The detainees have been handed over to the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) for further investigation and processing. State authorities emphasized that maintaining community safety and adherence to immigration laws remains a top priority.
