APC Welcomes Over 50,000 Defectors from PDP, SDP, and ADC in Oyo

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has officially welcomed over 50,000 defectors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Social Democratic Party (SDP), and African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The reception event was attended by top APC leaders, including Senator Teslim Folarin, Minister of Power Adebayo Adelabu, Senators Abdulfatai Buhari and Sharafadeen Alli, and other party officials.
They described the defections as a strong endorsement of the party’s leadership and a boost to its political influence in the state.
Speaking at the ceremony, APC officials emphasized the party’s commitment to unity and inclusiveness, saying the influx of new members strengthens its position ahead of the 2027 general elections.
This mass defection reflects the shifting political landscape in Oyo State, where opposition party members are increasingly joining the ruling APC, signaling growing confidence in the party’s leadership and policies.
