Oshiomhole Hails Okpekpe 10km Road Race as “Best in the World”

Former Edo State Governor and current Senator, Adams Oshiomhole, has described the Okpekpe International 10 km Road Race as the best in the world.
Speaking in a video that has gone viral, Oshiomhole praised the race for its challenging terrain, scenic surroundings, and the hospitality of the local community.
He highlighted the hilly course, fresh air, and green environment as factors that make the event stand out internationally. “This is a race like no other. The natural beauty and organization make it world-class,” he said.
The Okpekpe 10 km Road Race is a World Athletics-labelled event, attracting elite runners from around the world.
While Oshiomhole’s remark reflects his personal view, the race is widely respected and recognized on the international athletics circuit.
Organizers are preparing for the next edition of the race, which continues to draw global attention and showcase Nigeria as a hub for competitive athletics.
