Nnamani Denies Apologising to Peter Obi

By Erewunmi Peace

Former Enugu State
Governor and serving senator, Chimaroke Nnamani, has denied reports claiming he apologised to former Anambra State Governor and Labour Party leader, Peter Obi, over past political comments.

In a statement issued by his media office on Tuesday, Nnamani described the alleged apology as false and misleading, insisting that he never made such remarks either privately or publicly.

According to the statement, the report circulating on social media and some online platforms was a “phantom apology” fabricated to push a political narrative. Nnamani stressed that at no point did he express regret or offer an apology to Peter Obi.

The former governor further warned against the spread of misinformation, urging the public to rely on verified sources for accurate information. He also stated that his political views and past comments remain on record and should not be distorted.

The denial comes amid renewed political discussions ahead of future elections, with analysts noting increased misinformation surrounding prominent political figures.

As of the time of filing this report, Peter Obi has not reacted to Nnamani’s denial.
