Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has reacted to the recent attacks carried out by suspected bandits in some border communities across the state.

The affected areas include Shanono, Tsanyawa, Tudun Wada, Doguwa, and Gwarzo local government areas, where residents were reportedly troubled by the renewed wave of banditry and violent raids.

In a statement issued through his spokesperson, the governor directed local government chairmen to hold regular security meetings with security agencies, community leaders, traditional rulers, and religious stakeholders. He said intelligence gathering at the community level remains crucial in preventing further attacks.

Yusuf assured residents that the government was working closely with security operatives to strengthen surveillance and protect lives and property across the state.

He urged the people to remain calm and continue providing useful information to help security agencies combat crime.
