Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, who represents Sokoto North, has described the reform agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration as well-intentioned and essential for Nigeria’s long-term stability and development.

Wamakko made the statement on Thursday in Sokoto during the flag-off of the All Progressives Congress (APC) electronic membership registration exercise in the state.

The event, which took place at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Hall, Gawon Nama, attracted party leaders and members from the 23 local government areas of Sokoto State.

According to the senator, although the reforms may come with short-term challenges, they are necessary steps toward rebuilding Nigeria’s economy and strengthening national institutions.

Wamakko, who was the first party member to be registered during the exercise, described the e-registration initiative as timely and strategic, noting that it would help reposition the APC ahead of future political engagements.

He urged party members to embrace unity and remain committed to the party’s vision, stressing that strong internal organization is vital for sustaining democracy and good governance.

The APC electronic membership registration exercise is part of the party’s efforts to modernize its operations, improve data management, and strengthen grassroots participation across the country.
