Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, may be facing a new political challenge as Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke reportedly explores the possibility of seeking re-election through the Accord Party, citing concerns over the validity of PDP’s nomination processes.

Sources familiar with the situation say that internal disagreements and organizational issues within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have raised fears among some governors and aspirants about the credibility of forthcoming nominations. Adeleke is said to be considering alternative platforms to safeguard his political ambitions, a move that analysts suggest could influence regional party dynamics.

While the development has generated speculation about its potential impact on Makinde and PDP’s influence in the South-West, party insiders caution that no official decision has yet been taken, and the outcome remains uncertain.
