The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested a medical doctor allegedly involved in supplying drugs to kidnappers operating in parts of Kwara State. According to sources, the doctor reportedly transported the substances from Sokoto State to aid criminal activities in the region.

Authorities say the arrest is part of ongoing efforts to combat kidnapping and other violent crimes in Kwara and surrounding states. The DSS confirmed that investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend other individuals connected to the criminal network.

Community members have reacted strongly to the news, calling for swift action against anyone aiding kidnappers, whether directly or indirectly.

The suspect is currently in DSS custody as the agency continues its investigation.
