Notorious Bandit Leader Kachalla Na’Allah Killed in Sokoto

By Erewunmi Peace

Security forces have killed a notorious bandit leader, Kachalla Na’Allah, in a joint operation carried out in Sokoto State, dealing a major blow to criminal networks operating in the North-West region.

According to security sources, Kachalla Na’Allah was neutralised during a coordinated operation involving the Nigerian Army, the police, and local security operatives. The operation reportedly took place in the Isa Local Government Area of Sokoto State, following sustained intelligence gathering on the movement of bandit groups in the area.

Kachalla Na’Allah was believed to be responsible for several violent attacks, including kidnappings, armed robberies, and killings across communities in Sokoto and neighbouring states. He was also said to have coordinated bandit camps that served as hideouts for criminal elements terrorising rural communities.

Residents of affected communities have expressed relief following the development, describing the slain bandit leader as a major source of fear and insecurity. Many locals said his activities had disrupted farming, trade, and daily life for years.

Security agencies described the operation as part of ongoing efforts to dismantle bandit networks and restore peace to the region. They reaffirmed their commitment to sustained military and intelligence operations aimed at flushing out remaining criminal elements.

Authorities have urged residents to continue cooperating with security agencies by providing timely and credible information that could help prevent future attacks.

The killing of Kachalla Na’Allah comes amid renewed efforts by the federal and state governments to address insecurity in Nigeria’s North-West, where banditry has posed a serious challenge to safety and economic activities.
