The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested 20 suspects across multiple states, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nasarawa, Benue, Plateau, and Ondo, in a series of intelligence-led operations conducted between October and November 2025.

The suspects are reportedly involved in kidnapping, armed robbery, terrorism, vandalism of critical infrastructure, and receiving stolen property. During the operations, security agents recovered weapons including AK-47 and G3 rifles, ammunition, a Toyota Corolla 2010 model, motorcycles, electronics, charms, and cash.

The NSCDC’s Special Intelligence Squad (CG’s SIS) led the crackdown as part of the agency’s ongoing efforts to curb insecurity and criminal activities nationwide. Authorities have stated that investigations into the suspects’ activities are ongoing.

This development underscores the continued challenges Nigeria faces with organized criminal groups and highlights the government’s intensified efforts to ensure public safety.
