Casual Worker Killed at Gombe State Government House, Suspect Arrested

Tragedy struck at the Gombe State Government House on December 26, when a casual staff worker, identified as Mallam Umar (“Baba Usama”), was found dead within the premises.
Authorities say investigations, including CCTV footage, led to the arrest of 19-year-old Shuaibu Adamu (“Yaya Mama”), a fellow casual worker, who allegedly confessed to the killing.
The Gombe State Police Command confirmed the arrest and stated that further investigations are ongoing.
Police spokespersons assured the public that the case would be thoroughly prosecuted.
Officials clarified that the incident involved personal conflict among casual staff, and there is no indication of political motives or threats to government officials.
The shocking event has raised concerns about security protocols within government facilities, with calls for stricter monitoring of staff and visitors to prevent similar tragedies.
