By Erewunmi Peace

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Maiduguri, Borno State, marking the beginning of a three-state tour across northern and southern Nigeria.

The visit, which also covers Bauchi and Lagos states, is a combination of official inaugurations, community engagements, and festive activities.

The President’s arrival was on a Boeing 737 Business Jet, reportedly acquired during the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

The aircraft, over two decades old, had been slated for sale earlier this year but remains in use for official government travel.

Upon arrival, President Tinubu was warmly received by top government officials, security personnel, and local leaders, reflecting the importance of this tour for both governance and public engagement. While in Maiduguri, the President is expected to commission key developmental projects and meet with community stakeholders to discuss regional priorities.

This tour signals the administration’s ongoing commitment to infrastructure development, social programs, and federal oversight across multiple states. Citizens and local media have expressed keen interest in the visit, highlighting the President’s efforts to engage with diverse communities.

Officials have indicated that the three-state tour will be closely monitored for outcomes on local development initiatives, and updates are expected as the President continues his engagements in Bauchi and Lagos states.
