According to the Governor, the budget proposes ₦317.4 billion for recurrent expenditure, representing 45 percent, and ₦388.4 billion for capital expenditure, amounting to 55 percent of the total estimates.
He emphasized his administration’s commitment to fiscal discipline, transparency, and accountability, assuring that every allocation will directly impact citizens’ welfare.
In his response, the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun, commended Governor Adeleke for what he described as a transparent and people-focused administration. The Speaker, however, noted that the House would carefully scrutinize the budget to ensure effective implementation and value for money.
