The All Progressives Congress (APC) has stated that it is gradually addressing the impeachment moves against Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, amid ongoing political tensions in the state.

Speaking on the development, the party’s national leadership said internal mechanisms have been activated to manage the crisis and ensure stability within the political structure of Rivers State.

APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, explained that the party is engaging key stakeholders and lawmakers involved in the dispute, describing the situation as one that requires dialogue and strategic resolution.

According to him, the APC has established conflict-resolution processes designed to handle disagreements within its ranks and prevent escalation.

The political situation in Rivers State has remained tense following impeachment threats initiated by members of the State House of Assembly against Governor Fubara and his deputy. The process had previously faced legal challenges, with court interventions temporarily halting further action.
