By Erewunmi Peace

Security operatives in Kwara State have arrested a leader of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders
Association alongside other individuals over alleged involvement in the sponsorship of banditry and kidnapping activities in parts of the state.

According to reports, the suspects were taken into custody following intelligence-led operations by security agencies targeting criminal networks responsible for recent cases of kidnapping and insecurity within Kwara communities.

Authorities allege that the arrested individuals, described as community leaders, provided logistical and financial support to armed groups operating in the area. The arrests were reportedly confirmed by security sources within the state, who noted that investigations are ongoing.

While details of the operation remain limited, security agencies have assured the public that all suspects will be properly investigated and prosecuted in line with the law if found culpable.

As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official response from the national leadership of Miyetti Allah, and no court charges have been formally announced.

The Kwara State Government has reiterated its commitment to tackling insecurity and warned that anyone found aiding criminal activities, regardless of status or affiliation, will face the full weight of the law.
