What Govt Has Seen Is Not Up To One Quarter – Maina Accuses Malami of Massive Theft
By Erewunmi Peace
Former Pension Reform Task Team Chairman, Abdulrasheed Maina, has accused former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), of massive theft and financial mismanagement.
In a recent statement and video that circulated online, Maina claimed that what the government has uncovered so far represents less than one-quarter of the total assets allegedly involved.
He urged authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into Malami’s financial dealings to ensure all alleged funds and properties are accounted for.
Maina’s remarks come amid ongoing scrutiny of Malami, who is facing a 16-count money-laundering case filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Investigations are currently underway to trace high-value properties and funds linked to the former minister and his associates.
The former pension boss stressed that only a comprehensive probe would reveal the full extent of the alleged financial improprieties, and called on anti-graft agencies to act decisively.
