Pantami Ignores ADC Speculation, Renews APC Membership in Gombe

Former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Ali Pantami, has reaffirmed his loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC) by officially renewing his party membership in Gombe State.
Pantami visited the APC secretariat in Gombe where he completed his membership revalidation, putting to rest speculations linking him with the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The move comes amid growing political conversations in the state, with some party stakeholders previously expressing concerns about his perceived distance from local party activities during his tenure as minister. However, Pantami’s latest action signals a clear commitment to the ruling party.
Speaking during the visit, Pantami reportedly reiterated his allegiance to the APC and dismissed suggestions of defection. He also referenced past guidance from former President Muhammadu Buhari, who had advised him to limit involvement in local political disputes in order to maintain unity within the state.
Political observers say the renewed membership may reshape internal party dynamics in Gombe as political alignments begin to take form ahead of future elections.
The development effectively ends speculation about Pantami aligning with the ADC and reaffirms his position within the APC structure in Gombe State.
