The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially kicked off the activities of its Committee on Strategy, Conflict Resolution and Mobilisation with an inaugural meeting in Abuja.

The meeting comes as the ruling party seeks to address internal disputes and promote unity ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The session, chaired by Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni, brought together several APC governors, ministers, and senior party leaders from across the country. Governors present included Hope Uzodimma (Imo), Siminalayi Fubara (Rivers), Hyacinth Alia (Benue), Uba Sani (Kaduna), Sheriff Oborevwori (Delta), and Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti), among others.

During the meeting, committee members outlined strategies to resolve lingering conflicts, ensure cohesion within the party, and mobilise support for the APC ahead of the upcoming elections. The committee had been inaugurated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in December 2025.

Speaking on the purpose of the committee, a party spokesperson said it would focus on inclusive consultations with party members, reconciliation of differences, and proactive management of potential disputes, aiming to strengthen the party’s unity and political strength nationwide.

The APC leadership emphasized that the committee’s work is a crucial step in maintaining party cohesion and ensuring smooth preparations for the 2027 electoral season.
