Following the resignation of Defence Minister Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, speculation is mounting that former Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Christopher Musa, could be appointed as his replacement.

Media reports and sources close to the presidency suggest that Christopher Musa has met with President Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, fueling speculation that he may be the front-runner to take over the ministry. Musa’s prior experience as CDS and his familiarity with Nigeria’s security landscape make him a likely candidate in the eyes of analysts.
