Kogi Governor Appoints Polytechnic Rector as University Vice-Chancellor

Kogi State Governor, Usman Ahmed Ododo, has approved the appointment of the Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Professor Salisu Usman Ogbo, as the new Vice-Chancellor of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba.

The appointment was announced as part of the state government’s efforts to strengthen leadership and academic administration in its tertiary institutions.

Professor Ogbo, who previously served as Rector of the state-owned polytechnic, is expected to bring his administrative experience to bear in repositioning the university for academic excellence, research development, and institutional growth.

The governor expressed confidence in the new Vice-Chancellor’s capacity to provide effective leadership and improve the standard of education at the university.

Prince Abubakar Audu University, formerly Kogi State University, is one of the major public universities in the state, and the appointment is expected to enhance stability and continuity in its academic leadership.
