Governor Chukwuma Soludo has been officially sworn in for a second term as the Governor of Anambra State, reaffirming his commitment to continue delivering good governance and development across the state.

The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka, the Anambra State capital, on March 17, 2026. Soludo was inaugurated alongside his deputy, Onyeka Ibezim, in the presence of top government officials, political leaders, and dignitaries from across the country.

In his inaugural speech, Soludo expressed gratitude to the people of Anambra State for renewing his mandate. He assured citizens of his administration’s continued focus on improving security, infrastructure, and economic growth.

The governor emphasized his vision to build on the achievements of his first term, promising to further strengthen governance and create more opportunities for residents.

Soludo’s second term follows his victory in the November 2025 governorship election, which secured him another four years in office.

Observers believe his administration will continue to prioritize development initiatives aimed at positioning Anambra as a leading economic hub in Nigeria.
