ADC Releases Timetable for Nationwide Congresses Ahead of National Convention

By Erewunmi Peace

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has released the timetable for its nationwide congresses ahead of the party’s upcoming national convention.

The announcement was made by the party leadership as part of preparations to reorganize its structures across the country.

According to the timetable released by the party, the congresses will begin with polling unit and ward congresses scheduled to take place on April 7, 2026.
This will be followed by the local government congresses on April 9, while state congresses are expected to hold on April 11.

The process will culminate in the party’s national convention scheduled for April 14, 2026, where key national party officials are expected to emerge.

Party officials explained that the congresses are designed to strengthen the party’s internal structures and ensure effective leadership at all levels ahead of future political activities.

Political observers believe the move is part of broader preparations by the party as Nigeria gradually approaches the 2027 general elections.

The ADC leadership has therefore called on members nationwide to actively participate in the congresses and support efforts to build a stronger and more organized party structure.
