Several people are feared dead following a deadly attack by suspected armed herdsmen on a community in Benue State, sparking panic among residents and raising fresh security concerns in the region.

According to reports from local sources, the attackers invaded the community late at night, opening fire on residents and forcing many families to flee their homes in search of safety.
