Popular Nigerian comedian and content creator Broda Shaggi has reportedly been hospitalised after sustaining a gunshot injury during the filming of a comedy skit.

The comedian, whose real name is Samuel Animashaun Perry, was said to have been shot while recording a skit with members of his crew under the Sango-Ota bridge in Ogun State.

According to reports, the incident occurred during the production when gunfire was allegedly heard in the area, leading to the comedian sustaining an injury. Members of his team quickly rushed him to Blooming Care Hospital, where he received initial medical attention.
He was later referred to Duchess International Hospital for further treatment.

Authorities said the hospital alerted the Nigeria Police Force after a gunshot victim was brought in. The Ogun State Police Command also confirmed that investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

As of the time of filing this report, the comedian is said to be in stable condition while authorities continue their investigation.
